Who We Are

 I am the mother of 3 beautiful girls, all born at home. I am also wife to an
organic farmer.
My husband introduced me to the idea of home-birthing our children. As I
read more about it, I loved the idea. I try to live my life in the most natural
ways as possible, so it fit in with my beliefs. I also like the idea of being
empowered and in control of my labor and birth.  My husband has always
been very supportive and worked long hours (at more than one job) to
ensure we could afford to pay for the midwives fees. For our second & third
daughter, we worked hard to get insurance and they paid a portion of the
midwifery fees.
  I have had many friends and aquaintances over the years, tell me they
wished they could have planned a homebirth but they just couldn't afford it
or they simply didn't have the knowledge or support system in place to
make it happen. This organization is for them.
